    My BF has a baby with this named, which she got from the name of a baby at the daycare she worked at.  They all pronounced it TAHL-yuh.

    This.  My 10 year old neice is Talia and everyone pronounces it differently.  My brother intended it to be Tahl-yuh, but they always get Tahl-ee-ya and Tail-ya (sound AWFUL).

    I taught a Talia. She went by Talley which is much easier to pronounce.

    Yes, like this. And I don't know why I like because names like this usually are NMS at all, but this one appeals to me for some reason. A guilty pleasure name I suppose.

    I am a Jennifer.....  So mom-and-daughter would be Jennifer and Talia.  Does this make anyone think of the word genitalia?

    Ok...soooooo....DH's cousin is Talia (tahl-ee-uh) like the Hebrew pronounciation.

    However, my cousin's married last name is Talia (Italian last name prounounced TAL - ee - uh (Tal like Sal with a T)). Gets coufusing sometimes.

    Even worse though...my cousin's first name is Jenny. Yep, she's actually won radio swag for unfortunate name combos and such. And yes, we tease her about being Jenny-Talia. (btw...professionally, she now goes by Jennifer.)

    I don't think people would combine it with mother and daughter, especially with the correct Hebrew way of saying it, but something to think about.
