Austin Babies

I need OB recs.

Can't find the 100th post about recommending your OB.  My friend is pregnant (due in August) and is looking for a new doctor.

She is currently with Renaissance Women's and is not pleased with her experience. She's about 14 weeks along.

So post your recommendations here! :)

Re: I need OB recs.

  • I have been very happy with Dr. Campaigne and the midwife Liane at Nurture OBGYN. There have been basically no wait times, they treat you like a long lost friend, ask questions about your life and really care, that sort of thing. The actual medical care is excellent, I was at OBGYN North (where Dr C and Liane) used to be) for my last pregnancy and was very happy with how Dr C handled the fact that I had had HELLP syndrome with Leo. She was proactive without being totally freak out scary about things. It was exactly what I wanted.

With the whole practice, or one doctor in particular?  I see Dr. Neyman and love her.

Generally the whole practice. She's been there for years and has always seen one of the WHNPs. However, she's seeing M e r r i t t  now and is not happy.

  • Lots of people on the board go to Hill Country OBGYN. I see Dr. L and I LOVE her!

Ugh. I used to see that same Dr. and hated the care I received. I switched to Dr. Seeker and love him, but I don't love the wait time. It's worth it to me though because the level of care is such a stark contrast to M e r r i t t.

I don't think she can go wrong with anyone at AAOBGYN.

  • I had a great experience with Dr. Oliver at WPH.

  • I love my OB! I see Dr. Yoo at ARC, Seton Northwest. I saw Dr. Cherry for years, and when I became pregnant with DD I had to switch to someone closer to my home. I loved Cherry so much I would drive from P-ville to see her. She recommended Yoo, and it was an easy transition. They offer the same bedside manner, same amazing care.

    Ditto!

  • I hate to specifically not recommend someone but I would caution your friend about choosing Dr. Cowan.  He delivered my son and did not repair my tear properly.  Two other friends of mine had him as their primary OBGYN and were displeased with his care.  Sorry but I feel like I should pass this along. :(
