I was looking into the Katie Beckett Waiver for R since her medical expenses just keep stacking up and are only going to continue doing so.  It's a no go, but we have a program here for "Medically Handicapped Children."

It looks like you have something similar there and I also found this link when I looked:

https://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/fh/mcshn/iandr.htm

You may have already been in contact with them, but thought I'd throw it out there if you hadn't.  Our Services Coordinator has been invaluable with helping us navigate everything for R.

Good luck, girl.

  • Oh that's awesome! I hadn't been able to navigate the site very well, and this is just what I had been looking for.

    I'm calling them tomorrow.

  • Glad it helped! They don't make the sites very user-friendly. Frick, they don't make the system user-friendly. When I called in to the main line a few months ago, they had no idea about any assistance for high medical needs kids and there's a whole program dedicated to it!
