Why are you high-risk? HBP
Any additional monitoring or testing this week? I have my monthly OB appt tomorrow and an appt with MFM next week.
Any concerns/news currently? So excited to get to viability on Saturday.
Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? That BP remains stable and that baby measures on track next week.
GTKY: What is the best and worst thing about this pregnancy? Feeling all the kicks lately has been so great. Also seeing my girls interact with their brother. They hug and kiss my stomach and talk to the baby. It is the cutest! The worst thing is the anxiety about my BP or other things that could go wrong. I just gotta keep meditating and working on focusing on the right now.
Why are you high-risk? Type 1 DM, MTHFR
Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I had my OB today, and MFM growth scan will be on Friday.
My appt today:
Today's appt went well! Good BP, no protein or glucose in my urine. Swelling in my ankles is gone. I had my first fundal measurement, and I'm measuring right on track! She looked at my blood sugars and said she's pleased and I explained I know it's not perfect but this is what I do when I get not perfect numbers in a row. I also got the lovely orange jug for the 24 hr urine test wooo. I now am doing biweekly appointments to monitor BP and protein. Eek! Already!
We also discussed seeing the MFM. I told her I plan on continuing seeing her for extra monitoring and that I had a great experience with her and liked her. I originally was hesitant to see a MFM because I didn't want another doctor complaining about my blood sugars, making me feel awful, and suggesting things that aren't helpful. But she wasn't like that at all. I will be doing growth scans every 3 weeks and then it will be weekly closer to the end. Anyone else in for a ton of ultrasounds??
Any concerns/news currently? I was a little concerned about my swelling, but all tests proved to be clear today. So that's good! No real news. Just lots of baby movement!
Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? That my blood sugars continue to cooperate and that if they are out of range that I can find a solution to them quickly.
GTKY: What is the best and worst thing about this pregnancy? Best thing would be seeing how healthy she is. I'm so so scared, but I'm trying to look at all the amazing things of this pregnancy. Worst thing would be the weight gain. I almost cried telling my doctor today that I was really concerned about the weight and that the worst part is seeing the body changes and the scale going up and feeling hopeless.

Why are you high-risk?
short cerivx, marginal placenta previa
Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
nothing this week!
Any concerns/news currently?
Things have been uneventful for me lately, which is definitely a good thing! It's been two weeks since my last bleeding episode and every day I go without bleeding or any other cause for concern makes me feel better. Really hoping I can make it to my next scheduled appt (June 9) without a reason to go in sooner.
Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Stable cervical length, no bleeding
GTKY: What is the best and worst thing about this pregnancy?
The best thing is feeling and watching the baby move inside of me, and seeing how excited my husband gets when he can see/feel him too. The worst thing is the stress of dealing with complications and not knowing if everything is going to be ok.

GTKY: What is the best and worst thing about this pregnancy?
The worst has been my eczema flaring up almost every other week it seems like and my sinus issues. Bloody gums and bloody noses are no fun. The best thing is that I get to watch the excitement of my DS who is 4. He is so excited to be getting a sibling! Also, that I am still able to workout almost normally. This pregnancy has been completely different from my first and I am loving it.
@Sugargirl1019 so far at 25 weeks I've had 10 ultrasounds and I'll be going to the specialist every two weeks now for a ultra sound plus the typical ones the OB does. My insurance gets billed at the end and I don't even want to know how much it'll cost!
Also, I understand stand about the weight I actually get on the scale backwards and tell them not to let me know unless it gets out of the normal range because it's really hard for me to see. I try to remind myself that my body has an important job it's doing but I just don't feel like myself.
@JustBored10 I got the worst nose bleeds during the first trimester! They do suck. That's awesome you can still work out, what do you normally do?
@Rhubarb7216 I just really started to be able to see his kicks in the last week, it's so cool. He isn't much of a preformer though anytime I try to show someone else he stopped haha.
How far along are you?
25 weeks 2 days
Why are you high-risk?
Small chronic tear in my placenta causing bleeding
Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
well due to some more spotting this week the specialist moved my appointment up and I see them tomorrow.
Any concerns/news currently?
Bleeding has stopped for now, my OB doctor thinks I'm a good candidate for the steroid shot. Just need the specialist to sign off on that tomorrow, also I'm talking to the new doc about Prozac. I've been a miserable crying mess since week 6 and I truly can't take it anymore.
Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Just that my appointment tomorrow goes well, that my tear heals OB says it is a possibility and that I start to feel better.
GTKY: What is the best and worst thing about this pregnancy?
Best: I feel like me being pregnant has brought me closer with my husband and I enjoy the baby kicks.... he's getting really strong in there.
Worst: Anxiety and depression, I'm on limited activity but I still barely make it out of bed and to the couch most days right now. And I want the steroid shot because it will help his lungs but I'm afraid the way it mimics cortisone will make me gel worse.
i have a Grade 1 placental abruption. This is really what I was terrified to find out. They started me on a steroid shot series in case he comes early. I wish they would have told me more what to expect, quick google search said there is a 20-60% mortality rate in the infant which is horrifying. But then again it is Google so I don't really know I saw that and couldn't read anymore. But in better news baby boy looks great and the steroids have him kicking away in there.

Thet did a little better job explaining thing to me yesterday. I guess I'm considered high risk but stable and they are going to keep a very close eye on me and do an ultrasound about every 3 days starting 32 weeks. If anything changes I'll be in hospital bed rest and if not everything could progress normally.
Ugh had spotting last night but I'm really hoping it's from the 3 transvaginal ultrasounds they did. For whatever reason they kept thinking they were done and changed they're mind.
