So my cycle hasn't returned yet since I had DD in April. I'm still nursing and just starting to wean. DH and I want to start trying for #2 within the next few months. I randomly took an LH test today just for wishful thinking. There was a slight positive line. I know this means I'm not ovulating yet...but I'm hoping it means it's coming soon. Is it possible it's coming or are there false LH lines for other reasons?
But three things remain: faith, hope and love; the greatest of these is love.

Re: Nursing/LH tests?
Some (most?) women have the luteinizing hormone in their system at all times, hence the faint line.
Keep testing and good luck!
If the line is lighter than the control line it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I BFed DD for 10 months and didn't get AF at all during that time... now 7 months later we still have not been able to get pregnant becasue my body isn't working properly yet. My cycles are long, and the midwife had her suspicions that I may not even be ovulating.
I did get a positive OPK this month where both lines were the same darkness, but nope, not pregnant on what could have been 20 DPO, and still no AF in sight. That was the only positive I got, and it doesn't mean that I necessarily even ovulated.
My LO was weened in January and I got my first post-partum period. I did OPK's this month for the first time too. I got two lines on every single strip. Apparently I am someone who has LH in my system at all times on some detectable level. So as PP said, two lines all the time doesn't necessarily mean anything..
Potentially interesting to you also, what I think should read as a +OPK because I really do think I O'd at the appropriate time, was a not-exactly-lighting-my-hair-on-fire dark edge for a spell of hours, until it lightened up.
GL, HTH :-)
