I had a glass of orange juice, a stupid amount of water, and sausages w/ homefries from my favourite breakfast restaurant. Baby was doing everything they were supposed to do (too bad it was too early to tell the sex!).
Mine was first thing in the morning and I was instructed to drink loads of water beforehand. I didn't get up in time to eat, so I just chugged my water and went. Baby was sleeping and not in a great position for the measurements so we have to go back. My 2nd appt will again be early morning, but I plan to eat something before I drink all that water, and maybe have a bit of juice.

I'm guessing that you just had a regular u/s or your NT scan. 14 weeks is super early to do the anatomy scan (it's usually done between 18-20 weeks).
Yeah, it was just the NT scan. I have my anatomy scan booked in 5 weeks, and a 3D ultrasound booked for 25 weeks just in case we can't see what it is at 19 weeks. I really want to know the sex. Can you tell??
I work for an OB/GYN and we always say a glass of Orange Juice 30 min prior to the appointment, but no eariler than that because the baby will get active then fall fast asleep and you dont want that during his/her big reveal . I did this for my A/S as well, and she was moving like crazy and showed every part, and got all measurments.
Just a word of advice. Don't drink too much sugary stuff.. With my first, I tried the OJ trick and he was moving around soo much the Dr couldn't see everything.
Good luck!!

I drank about a third of an Arnold Palmer Arizona tea on the way to my appointment. I also chugged a bottle of water upon waking up that morning (about 2.5 hours before the appointment, and it was a 32oz water bottle...)
I think I had some chocolate milk. I don't have anything special. Several U/S tech said it didn't really matter what you have. The baby will do what they want. besides, you don't want the baby moving around too much or,like DD, just as the tech lined up the measurements, she'd move or move around so much they can't get anything. Sometimes the tech will just jiggle the belly a bit to get the baby to move in a certain direction.

I had a glass of juice (either apple or orange, can't remember) and a chocolate croissant. My doctor's office also recommend having something sugary (like juice) 30 minute before the appointment.
Some doctors say different thing, so might be best to just call your doctor's office and ask. GL!
I had the glucose test right before so I had a light breakfast (2 pieces of toast) and then a nice 'ol glass of glucola when I got to the doctor's office. If that hadn't made him jump around I don't know what would have, lol!
I drank a 15 oz lemonade and had a yogurt. Our LO was squirming all over the place. It was great to see her kicking and moving her arms. At one point the tech turned on the 3d and we could see her yawn and rub her eyes. It was adorable.
Had mine last week. I wasn't instructed to eat or drink anything special, just to have a normal meal. I ended up having a lunch combo at Chili's. A little salad, half sandwich, about 10 french fries, and a strawberry lemonade. LO was moving around and cooperating just fine. His little parts have been visible since 16 weeks and I had my a/s at 19 weeks confirming that he's a boy.
I wouldn't go crazy with juice, etc. The AS is to get measurements and pics of LO's organs and appendages, to make sure everything is growing properly. If they are moving around too much, the techs often have trouble getting good shots and measurements. Just eat regularly for how you would at that time of the day.
I just had a sweet sucker about half an hour before, the she was moving just the right amount. The tech said that that was a good choice on my part, so I hope that helps!

Just water. I barfed before I left for the appt so I had nothing in my tummy. They baby was sleeping most of the time but he does that if its still very early in the morn and my appt was at 9am.

Your doctor should give you some advice on this. For the anatomy scan, you will likely have to drink a large amount of water and then hold your urine. As for food, while a moving-from-sugar baby is cute idea, a too wiggly baby can mean that the sonographer cannot get the comprehensive anatomical view they need to make sure that baby is developmentally healthy in all ways, not just in terms of genitalia. I would eat what you normally like to eat, unless your doctor says otherwise.

This exactly. I ate cereal for breakfast and then had water at work and a banana as a snack. I didn't have to have a full bladder. Baby was active but not moving too much. The sonographer said he was perfect and let her get all the measurements she needed. We could see him moving his arms an legs but he wasn't squirming too much which would have made it hard to measure him.
I had some orange juice and a waffle with banana for breakfast. While in the waiting room I drank 1/2 a Coke (which I never usually drink) Baby was kicking and moving around like crazy! We even got a cool picture of her yawning! I think the Coke woke her up!!
