nbr: book recs? (fiction)

I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy and am looking for something new to read. ...along the same lines as The Bronze Horseman or Hunger Games. Maybe this should've gone in the confessions, but I missed them yesterday.  (eta: I like the strong female characters and underlying romance stories, I mean.)

 Any favorites anyone would recommend? Oh, no vampires though. Just not my thing.

I always recommend Divergent to fans of the Hunger Games. Sadly, I haven't read much lately that I've been excited enough to recommend.
