We just converted DS's crib to a toddler bed! He had a mattress on the floor when we stayed at Grandma and Grandpas' this weekend and he slept quite well like that without running all over the place...so hopefully this goes well....

Well total fail for us hahaa... at about 12am we gave up and put his crib-side back on (not a big deal that he wouldn't sleep, but he kept slamming his door open and closed!) Guess he's not quite ready for it at home yet!

Just consider this sleep training 2.0. DD slept great the first couple nights then figured out she could climb out. We just put her back to bed without saying anything. The first couple nights were a challenge. Then she got out of bed about once/night for a couple weeks. Now she stays in bed almost every night. We did end up putting a child-proof thing on her door knob to prevent her from running around the house and coming into our room.

Yea it will be a process for sure once we do go to the toddler bed. We tried a child-proof thing on the door knob but they are double doors with glass inset, and he kept banging the bejeezus out of them...didn't want him to break the doors!

Right now is just not the best time to have a few nights of no sleep... probably gonna wait until the littlest is sleeping a bit more so we don't have to juggle two non-sleeping children! Although our little 2 month old is already starting to sleep 6-8 hours over night..which is amazing since our 1st woke up 3 times a night until he was 5 or 6 months old!
