I don't know why, but I can't stand the name Rhys. It irritates me when I have to think twice about how to pronounce a name. Don't like Megan, Maxine, Hazel, pretty much all the old names people are trying to bring back.
Boys: Aiden and all the variations, Jaxson/Jaxon/Jax, super old-fashioned names like Theodore, Henry, Peter, Edward (these are ok as MN to honor family but not as FN to me).

Most hated girl name is Nevaeh...hands down. I am not as strongly opposed to boy names but Killian is definately one of the top for me. And any names like La-a (ladasha- you sound out the -) drive me insane!!!!
A friend recently found out she was pregnant so I gave her some books and such but told her to please not use Madison, Jackson or anything that rhymes with aiden, yea totally my place...
Also dislike boy's name on girls, there was a cute little girl on the news the other night named Jamesyn, that made me sad.
And pretty much every boys' name much-loved here, from Ethan to William. Yes, they're nice. Yes, they'll age well. Yes, they're spelled correctly. But seriously, can't we have a little imagination with boys' names?

P.S. Still LOVE the name Levi.
Aww, my little guy is a Rhys. I guess I love it because it reminds me of our family's heritage. But I can't blame you on the proununcation part. A lot of people who've never heard of it think it's Rice. I'm surprised to see it even mentioned here. I always thought it was a very uncommon name in the U.S.
I don't think I really hate any names. Maybe Neveah.
I love different names though. My DD is Addison, which most people on this board hate, so I am shocked it isn't mentioned here. My DS is Ryne, which isn't even on the radar.
If we have any more children, their names will be Emerson or Marissa for a girl, and Kian for a boy. No one pronounces my DS's name right, so why not add another confusing name?
I'm skipping over all the trendy you-neek names everyone else is posting, btdt. First names that jumped into my head was Mildred, Russell and Douglas. I'm not even sure why I don't like them, they've bugged me since I was little. Oh - and anything ending in -ene, like Carlene, Marlene, Arlene. Still don't know why. I know lots of people with these names, like the people, not such a fan of the names.
Re: Your most hated names
mine are mainly girl names ... i think mainly its who the make me think of
Christine and Leah ..

Ohh I like this thread already.
Levi (by far my #1 most hated)
Aiden (and everything else from that category)
Madison
Anything Mc for a girl (McKenzie, McKenna, etc)
Proud Mama to cleft cutie
THIS! And also,
Agreed. My name is Jessica and I very much dislike it. Not enough to change it legally but still. I dislike Colton as well and these too.
Aiden, Caden, Brayden...all aden types etc.
McKayla (or any Mc name)
Liam
Grace -beyond overused in my area
Madison
Nevaeh
Bentley
Jaxson- the Jackson spelling is ok, but this makes me cringe!

Off the top of my head, Presley and Connor. Not sure why I don't like Connor so much, maybe bc I hear it soooo much around here.

Colton, Camden, Clayton,
and pretty much any name that people stick a random Y into, to make it 'different'
Oh, and Jax. What is that all about? I really do not get it....
sorry this turned into a mini-rant, but you did ask!
Great thread!

All smoosh names, boy names on girls, and occupation names
I have no idea why i dislike these, they just give off a terrible vibe for me:
Alex- names, Anthony, Ian, Michael, Samantha, Jasmine, Bridget, Jade
Lurker here, hope no one minds if I jump in here.
Olivia, C/Kaydence, Laura, Dylan, Chase and Jack.
All boy names on girls, especially those whose spelling has been changed to make them more 'feminine', ie Carson-> Karsyn.
Jaxson/Jaxon (Jackson is fine), Bryson and all variant spellings, Logan
All Mc- and Mac-names, Kinley, Brinley, Braylee, Cora, Margo, Mallory
The American pronounciation of Genevieve (Jenna-veeve) is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
I'm sure there's a ton more...apparently I have a lot of hate, haha.
Edit: I forgot, I also have lots of hate for London, Ireland (and most other place names that aren't already names), and Kyler.
A friend recently found out she was pregnant so I gave her some books and such but told her to please not use Madison, Jackson or anything that rhymes with aiden, yea totally my place...
Also dislike boy's name on girls, there was a cute little girl on the news the other night named Jamesyn, that made me sad.
Place names, especially Brooklyn
Trendy and cutsey names including Mc names, Paisley, Asher/Ashton, Grayson, Piper etc.
Ivy league sounding names.
Very plain and boring names...most of which are quite loved on this board.
Braylen
Jayden
Mikayla, Kinsley, Everly, Eden
Peyton, Bob, Jackson
Anything boring, particularly....
Anne, ughhh.
And pretty much every boys' name much-loved here, from Ethan to William. Yes, they're nice. Yes, they'll age well. Yes, they're spelled correctly. But seriously, can't we have a little imagination with boys' names?
This x1,000,000. For real.
Keegan, Ashton, Tucker
Kaylee, Kinsey, London, Booklyn
