Unexplained Weight Loss

Has anyone else lost like 5 lbs the last few weeks of pregnancy. I'm not doing anything differently and it's just strange. Does anyone know anything that can cause this??

I've lost weight. Then again, I've had nausea so bad in the past month that throwing up is a nightly ritual. It could be our bodies using up more energy in this last month. I wouldn't be concerned.

I lost 2 lbs in a week at my last appt. My ob wasn't at all concerned. I believe it's quite common at the end of pregnancy.

I think we aren't eating as much because there is no room. then when dropped, we'll gain again.

I lost 4 lbs in the last week of my last pregnancy. My doc said it's common but I can't remember exactly what could've caused it for me. I agree with the previous post, though, that it could be a lack of room in your stomach.

my weight would go up and down or no weight gain at all at the end....totally normal!

I lost weight at the end last time too and I think it's fairly common. You're probably not eating as much since you have less room and your fluid tends to trend down at the end of pregnancy.

I learned in my lamaze class that a 5-10lb weight loss is normal towards the end.

I've been gaining and losing the same 5lbs for all of January. My doctor seems to think it's completely normal and does not seem at all concerned about it. I've heard that it's very common to lose a little or kind of taper off at the end.
