My husband and I are having a hell of a time coming up with a name for our third little boy. Our other little guys are Brock and Alex. On our short list right now are Gabe, Reid and Jude.
Last night my husband suggested Leo as an option. I don't hate it... but I can't decide if I like it enough to name my child. Thoughts?
Re: WDYT of Leo?
I think it is a great nn.
Love Jude!!

In general, I have a bias against nicknames as given names. (So, I'd prefer Alexander to Alex, for example.)
So, I'd prefer Leo as a nickname for Leonardo, even though I don't particularly care for Leonardo unless your family is Italian. Similarly, I'd prefer Gabe as a nickname for Gabriel, etc.
Of the choices on your list, assuming those would be the given names, I like Reid best (although I like it more if it's really a family name for you).
If had to rank the names Reid, Leo, Gabe, and Jude, it would be in that order.
I think Leo "goes" with your first two boys names, and I think that Leonardo DiCaprio has lent the name Leo some street cred (in a good way) :-)
I love the name Leo. Your name choices in order that I like them are:
Leo
Jude
Reid
Gabe
Obviously I love it! --points to siggy--
DS is Leonardo and 85% of the time we call him Leo
I think Leo is a good name, but it's NMS.
My favorites out of your other choices are Jude & Reid.
LOVE Leo. It'd be #1 on my list, if H didn't have an uncle by the same name.
I really like your other options as well. IMO, can't go wrong with a short, masculine name.
LOVE Leo! Can't get DH on board with it though.
Also really like Reid.
I like Leo but I would choose Jude or Reid first. Gabe is nice too.
It is pretty obvious you like short names... here are some suggestions if you and H are still looking:
Ewan, Finn, Gage, Ike, Liam, Owen, Quinn, Rhys, Ari, Ami, Evan, Rowan, Silas, Luke, Simon, Dylan, Wyatt, Jett, Max, Joel, Cade, Lane, Levi, Seth, Cole, Jesse, Heath......
Good luck choosing!!
I love the name Leo!! So cute for a little boy, yet very masculine and strong for a man.
I once dated a Leo, he was SO handsome but a jerk (and I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be gay)... but, boy, was he good looking!! haha
Anyway, I love the name Leo!!
I love this name!!! I remembered DH's great grandfathers name was Leo, so Im hoping to get him on board with the name.
