I have been having them off and on this week, I don't recall having them this early at all with DS. I know they are normal but what has your Dr. said? Do I just ignore them unless they are just becoming constant or are really painful?

I've been having BH pretty frequently. I've upped my water intake so I'm pretty much drinking round the clock. They are still happening as frequent. I'm going for my GTT on Monday so I will be talking to the Dr. then about them. The most I've had in an hour is 5, but I've always heard that 6 is the magic number, so I've just been riding them out.
I get them occassionally. Not everyday. My Dr said as long as it is not more than 6 and they go away it is not a problem. Said it is normal and your body preparing for labor.

You'll get them earlier with each PG. You'll also get them ore if your PGs were close together and if you're busy chasing another LO. Mine were worse with #2, my ute was a little worn out from #1 still and I was tired from chasing a toddler. Still get them now, but not as bad. Also, not drinking enough or having a full bladder will do it to you.
I've been having them for about the last month. There's been a few times that I've had more than 5 an hour, but they weren't painful and there wasn't anything else going on so I didn't call. I couldn't sleep well last night because of them, turns out I just need to drink some water and have a piece of toast!

I've had them since very early on like 16 weeks or something. My doc just said they were normal and not to be concerned unless they are painful. I still get them daily.
This post makes me feel so much better. I get them everyday - one night this week I actually called the doc on call b/c they were coming every 8 minutes for about 2 hours. Finally they subsided with a ton of water and elevating my feet. My doc's advice was if they can be stopped with position changes, rest, or hydration then they are not concerning.
Do you ladies know if there is any link between women having frequent BHs and the type of labor they have - early, late, on time, etc? Just curious.
I've been getting them fairly frequently, but I haven't even mentioned it to my doctor since they don't hurt and they aren't consistent. Sometimes they startle me, but never hurt. Sometimes I can predict them - I have to pee really bad, I sneeze, or when I'm moving my classroom carpet back into place.
I refer to them as my boner and will frequently point out to DH when I have a hard on. It cheers me up.

Doc told me that you are more likely to get them in additional pregnancies.
I had very few the first time and am getting a ton this time.
Like PP said, as long as I'm not getting more than 5 in an hour I'm fine.
