My 8 month old D and 23 month old S share a bedroom. S is in a toddler bed (which he absolutely loves and is so proud of) while D sleeps in a crib. For the past month, all of S started climbing up the side of D's crib and laying next to her to sleep. I wouldn't feel this was a big issue if it weren't for the fact he sits on her, and throws things off their bookshelf (which he can reach when he stand up in the crib) at her, but he also snuggles and cuddles with her. They no longer nap at the same time anymore because if D is in her crib, sure enough S will be right there too in a matter of minutes. However, if S is in the room alone, he doesn't go near the crib. H and I have tried everything to fix this: talking to him "this is your bed, that's sissy's bed, you can't go in sissys bed, she gets boo boos, ect.", disciplining him (smacking his butt, time out). its difficult to know why he does this but he has said (he talks fairly well) that he "like snugg [snuggle] sis." It's sweet he loves his sister but at the same time, I wish it would stop in fear one day he will really hurt her or hurt himself in the process of climbing up the crib. Advice or suggestions please!!!

Re: Help! My monkey man won't leave D alone!!
Maybe try a crib tent to keep him out?
Our little man gets too much love from his older sibs sometimes too
Any way to block off that area? I am thinking of something like this:
