Hi all- no power here

Hi Ladies! I have missed you all so much and I can see I have a lot to catch up on which I'll have to do next week. We have had the snow and freezing rain/ice storm here that is probably making national news. I wouldn't know that though, since we've been without power since Wednesday night. I came to work today long enough to take care of a few things and then E and I are going to my brother's place for a shower. E's dad brought us a small generator so we can run her fish tank and the refrigerator or a space heater so I'm hoping to not lose everything in the fridge and her Christmas gift fish! It's been a long couple of days and there are thousands without power so it could be a long couple more days. Thankfully we at least have somewhere to go for an escape but I can't be gone for too long without risking the generator going off. I hope this finds you all well and warm. Miss you and can't wait to catch up next week!

  • Yuck! I hope you get your power back soon and the fish and food comes through OK! My sister texted me yesterday (from Olympia, WA) and said "I can't even do anything fun outside because it's raining ice and trees and power lines are exploding." Indifferent She was supposed to leave for a geology class trip to Death Valley on Thursday and it was cancelled - very disappointing for her. But in my big sisterly way I am glad her professors had the good sense not to try to drive 16-passenger vans through that kind of weather.
