Carters. Both my kids are long and lean and it seems carters is cut better. I found children's place not true to size. My kids always grew out of the length really early.

This, exactly. DS is average height and weight, and the CP ones were always much shorter. Love Carters.

This. The CP ones always seem so tight and small on him. But I still buy whatever is on really good sale.
I personally am not a huge fan of Carters. Their stuff is cute and while it is pricey the often run sales and you can find coupons. The problem is everything LO has ever owned that is carters gets worn out looking just after the first wash. Everything fades horribly. I know my friend said it to be true with her too.

Yep this exactly! I personally really dislike Carter's stuff because it's way over priced even on sale and for that price I can usually get something just as cute somewhere else that doesnt look sad the 3rd or 4th time I wash it.
As for CP stretchy PJs I love them but I always go a size up because I know they run small, as long as you know that they rock. The colors last better and the fabric is a little thicker on the stretchy pjs vs the standard jersy ones from Carters. I do think it's wierd that CP doesnt have 2T and their 18-24 is vastly smaller than their 3Ts.

I love Carter's for babies/toddlers, but their clothes do fade, especially the newer ones. I feel like DD1's old Carter's clothes have held up better. I wash everything inside out now to try to prevent fading.
I still prefer Carter's for pajamas. I think their material is softer, and they fit more true to size. TCP fits slimmer, which was great for DD1 (although I had to go up a size or two for footies), but doesn't work as well for DD2 who is chubbier than her sister.

I get so mad everytime it happens and just typing it made me mad so I went to their website and submitted a complaint about it!!!! I doubt they care but it made me feel better

Carter's is pricey??? Where do you shop for it? There's a Carter's store near Manchester and 141. I receive 20% off coupons off of $40 all the time, and they are constantly changing selections and running clearance. I can find shirts for $3 and three winter piece sets for $11. There was one particular sleeper that did fade horribly. That one was printed with ink for the design. But the rest (fleece, PJ's with appliques, 3-piece PJ's and all others) have been o.k.

Right that's what I am saying their original prices are pricey but they have good sales and I can always find coupons. That one is kinda far from me so I don't go there often but Kohls has ridiculous sales on Carters stuff and when you get a 30% off it is like paying nothing. I honestly prefer jumping bean at Kohls over Carters IMO it lasts better. I do agree their fleece stuff is fine it is anything that is cotton that fades.

Carter's. So soft, washes well, keeps her warm, and very affordable. $7 for such a good-quality item is excellent, IMO.
This. I always get the fleece ones so maybe that's why they don't seem to wear out as quickly. Also it's weird because DS is average height and stocky unlike the other posters, but they fit him well. Also, I like the feet in the Carters ones better.
The fleece ones are definitely more durable. The cotton ones fade quickly and are too thin, IMO.
And Carters, pricey? No way, dude. I go during sales and never pay more than $2.00 for a shirt. I am cheap as they come and I LOVE Carters prices.
I also prefer the fleece Carters footies. They are super soft and definitely warmer. I just bought a bunch for next year because they are $3.99-$5.99 online and then they had a 20% of code to top it off!
Carters - but only the 2 piece pjs. The one piece cotton pjs in 2t and up are made with a fabric that pills and I cant stand that. The 2 pairs of CP pjs we have got holes in them after just a few washings.
I like Children's Place, DD is 95 percentile and they fit her fine. I don't really get anything from Carter's in general, I don't think their stuff is cute, the quality is questionable and every other baby wears their stuff...nothing appealing to me there.

This is how I feel about Carter's stuff. The twins are in the 75th percentile and above for height (forget where exactly) and we've gotten months of wear out of stretchies. They seem to run small but that's just because they're supposed to fit snugly. And they hold up really well in the wash. I have about 5 sets that have been in rotation since September and they still look and fit great.
Everything, and I mean every single thing I've ever had from Carter's has looked terribly faded within about 3 washes. Plus I don't like most of their patterns on their sleepwear. I like TCP patterns better and there are a lot of gender neutral ones. DS and DD are a size apart so I can buy 2 identical sleepers, and when DS outgrows his, DD will be able to wear it.
