I have a quick question for you MoM's...
Did your babies have the same personality traits before and after they were born? The reason I'm asking is our baby girl is a total ham and "show-off " already..or so I think. At every u/s she turns to the probe and smiles or becomes more active than before we start. But on the other side our boy hides his face and doesn't participate unless he feels like it..lol. They both are active about the same when we are at home, but when that probe touches down they act totally different.
Is this something I should expect when they arrive? This is my first twin pregnancy and it's all new to me! But saying that my DD was just like this little girl..total show off and still is..lol!
Re: Do you babies have the same personalities in-utero vs outside?
Yes, baby A was ALWAYS moving and kicking like crazy...he couldnt sit still! Baby B was so quiet! They are almost 11 months old and baby A still cant sit still.....ever!
I could easily buy that the babies? personalities are shaped in the womb and might display similar tendencies..
..but how would the babies know that there picture is being taken when you are having an ultrasound?
M (Baby A) constantly moved, rolled, squirmed, kicked. 6 months later, she loves to move, roll, squirm, and kick. She would curl up in a ball and bury her face when the probe touched her. She has curled up and slept on her side since day 1.
N (Baby loved to stretch out and constantly had the hiccups. 6 months later, she loves to stretch out and take up the whole crib and hiccups after every meal. She is the laid-back baby who didn't care if the probe poked her or not.
Twins are funny little people.
Ditto this exactly. BUT, personality wise, B is a bigger whiner and baby A is a bit more mellow. Mellow but in CONSTANT motion.
Mine too. Baby A had much less room to move around because of the lower fluid level and his positioning deeper into my pelvis. He's more of a snuggler. Baby B had extra fluid so he had plenty of wiggle room and was always more photogenic at the u/s.

Yep, so far they are.
Baby A was always more feisty when I was pregnant. He also had a higher heart rate and was always harder to find on the monitors. It was tricky to get him to cooperate on the ultrasounds too.
Now he's still the more high strung of the two. He's smaller, faster to cry and in general more finicky. Also he loves to look around and see everything that's going on. He's got quite a personality! Baby B just hangs out, gains weight quickly and is very easy going. He just wants to cuddle and sleep.
