Long Term Storage

I have some smaller covers/prefolds/AIO/Pockets that LO no longer fits into but I want to resuse for #2 but that won't be for another few years. What should I do to properly store them?

I loaned out some of my newborn stash to a friend but the rest is clean (obviously) and sitting in a cardboard box right now. I was planning to stick them into a plastic tote and put them in his closet but now I'm starting to wonder if I should do something else to ensure they don't get funky.

I've got to pick up my newborn stuff that I lent out to store. My plan is to strip, sun, then put in a plastic bin with a few silica packets (to suck any moisture out).
