Symptoms you didn't expect

I'm just curious what caught you off guard.

Mine would be sore knuckles. I'm assuming it's from swelling, but my knuckles hurt Plus my fingers hurt from pushing my hulking body up!

  • Definitely carpal tunnel was the one that surprised me the most.  Every other symptom made pretty good sense to me.  Even though I'd never considered that my hips would hurt, it made sense that they would with the changes going on.

When the carpal tunnel set it, I threw a mini-fit :P  I hope it goes away when Baby Girl gets here...

  • Swollen hands.  Totally took me by surprise because it started as just the one hand.

I also didn't expect to be in 3rd trimester and throwing up every night.  I dread going to bed now because I know I'm going to lose my dinner within half an hour.

  • Same as pp - carpal tunnel.  It blows SO BADLY.  Had it since 35 weeks and praying it goes away upon delivery like *most* people say.  =(

What fun surprises pregnancy has in store for us!

  • I expected lower back pain but it's different than what I had in mind. It's only on one side and it honestly feels like I just need to pop my back. Easier said than done, sadly.

  • All the poo-problems.

I started really figuring I was pg when I started getting constipated. Before getting pg, I was always super regular - like within a couple hours every single day.

Never fought with it again until early 3rd tri. OMG constipation from hell. I thought I was going to birth my baby with how difficult it was to poo. And now it's turned into my body wanting to empty itself completely for the past couple weeks.

    Ugh.

Plus the gas. I want normal intestines again :(
