Our random cobbled together sleep training worked! AGAIN!

We got Cammie to pretty much STTN between 2-3 months-- occasionally one wakeup for a paci retrieval. In hindsight, this tanked my supply early b/c I didn't do an extra pump to make up for that. We kind of created our own sleep method based on what it seemed like she was trying to get when she woke up. It took a week, total.

So then the holidays came, and her schedule went to crap. I think she hit that horrible 6 month growth spurt and wanted to nurse ALL.NIGHT.LONG.

So Saturday night we decided to do our sleep training again. First couple nights were AWFUL,Monday night she only got up twice, and last night.... she STTN! I'm hoping it's not a fluke and we have our good sleeper back!

Here's what we do, for anyone curious.

Bedtime routine at 7, down by 7:30. If she wakes up, DH goes in, lights stay off, no talking, he shhhs her, puts paci back in, tries to arrange blankie back to her preferred location.

If she's still crying after 5 min (about half the time), he picks her up and shhs her while bouncing (or lately he's afraid he'll pass out he's so tired, so he's been rocking her)- when she's just about dropping off, back in crib.

if she's STILL crying after 10 min of all of the above (very rare), he brings her to me and I nurse her and snuggle her a bit in our bed. As soon as she isn't really nursing, he takes her back and either rocks or straight to crib depending on how tired she seems.

If she wakes up around 2am (halfway through our night)- we skip all of the above and I nurse her and then he puts her back in bed.

If she wakes up around 5am, I get up with her and do our first nursing of the day, play, get dressed, etc (we usually get up at 6 anyway).

The last 2 mornings she has woken at 5, but passed back out after nursing until 7:30, when I HAD to get her up to get to daycare. I have a feeling she will sleep later tonight
