for a short visit (less than 3 days) 2.5-3 yo

    for a longer visit (4 days +) 5

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

I'm not a huge Disney fan, but its OK.  I think my max toleration level for teh crowds/lines/bleeding money would be about 4 days

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

Disneyworld.  I wouldn't make a trip to Disneyland just to go, but if I were in SoCal, w/ DD I'd probably work it in.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

The 1st time we went we stayed 2 days and got the park hopper

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

We went to Disneyland, but thats because we in in SoCal--its only 2 hrs away from us

We took DS at a year - but it was more for the adults in are family then him. We took him again just before he turned 3 and he really enjoyed it especially the character meals.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

We live in south fl so most of our trips have been shorter 3 - 4 days more of a long weekend.  We have stopped by for lunch on the way north before too.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

I would do World because of location.  I would do whatever is easier /cheapiest for you.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? Both times were 4 days, I believe.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? I've only been to Disneyworld.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?  My only is 3.5 and we haven't been yet.  After he turns 4 would be the earliest we'd go but it's not on my must do list at all.  DS hasn't watched one movie, let alone "get" what it's all about. Given the expense, I'm hoping to wait until he actually cares about it before we go.  But my ILs live about 30 minutes away and go a lot so DH sort of wants to go sooner than I do.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? We'd likely only do one day.  We might stay near the park just to having a longer day there/avoid traffic but we won't be doing park-hopper passes or anything like that.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? Disneyland since it's closer and close to family.

    2.  We are staying in FL for 6 days so we can do other things like the beach and visit family.  We will probably only go the park for 1-2 days.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?  DH and I were just talking about this last week.  We were talking about going this year (With a 3 year old and two 5 year olds).  We opted to wait at least another year when DS#3 will be able to remember it more.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?  Probably only 2 days at Disney (and probably only one park).  I think it will be a lot to take in for LO's.  A whole week just seems too long to me.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?  Florida is closer for us so there you go!

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?

Youngest would have to be around 4-5 (which would make the older kids around 6 and 8). I refuse to push a stroller around a place like Disney or pay that much for a vacation that all the kids won't remember in some way

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

    5-7 days

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

    Disney World

  • We live less than an hour from Disneyland and waited until the boys were 4 1/2 before taking them.  They had a BLAST.  I do not see the point in taking them a lot earlier.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? 4 days so we are not rushed and make the most of our money.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?  Probably Disney world and really make a fabulous no distractions.

If we still lived in Vegas or LA we would get passes and go all the time.  B/c a trip will cost at least a grand (probably 2) that is why we are waiting.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World? We're going this December right before DS 3rd bday so he's still free. The youngest will be DD who will be just 6 months...yeah...we had already planned the trip before getting a BFP, but I think she'll still like the colors and music and the like.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? We'll be gone for 10 days. Any less and I would feel rushed with a toddler

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? We're doing DW. partly because it is for DS's bday and we hadn't really considered DL for this trip. I guess we wanted more bank for our buck while he was still free.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?  We have an only so 3 (we go in a month!) DH wanted to wait till he was 5or 6 so he would "remember", obviously you can tell who won that arguement.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? 2 days at the park another 2 with family in the area

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? Disneyland we are a 45 minute plane ride or 6-7hour dirve where as Disneyworld is a 6+ hour plane ride.

  • 1.  We took DD1 for a 2 day trip to DW when she was 10 months old. The first day ended up being more of an adult, take our time around Epcot day and the second day was a laid back, cater to the baby day.  It was a relaxing fun trip but DD1 was an EXTREMELY easy baby.  We took her again when she was 19 months and again at 23 months.  These trips were even more fun.  Now DD2 on the other hand, is definitely not what I would call easy.  I might consider taking her now but would probably take her closer to 2.  In theory, my youngest would have to be old enough to ride most of the rides (which is pretty easy in DW).  I have older stepkids so I know how annoying it is when kids are into different rides and you spend half your trip waiting with the kid who can't/won't ride and the other half split up.

    2.  We typically do 7 or 8 day trips and I keep thinking if we could add one more day it would be perfect.

    3.  Disney World because I think after you have done DW, DL would be a let down.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?   We just took our oldest (3.5 yrs) to Disney for the first time.  We left the babies (17 months) at home with my parents.  We will wait until the babies are about 3.5 before we go again.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?  I think 5 days is plenty.  I would allow 2 days at Magic Kingdom, 1 at Epcot, 1 Animal Kingdom and 1 at Hollywood Studios.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?  Disney World for sure.

  • 1. We went when DS was 4y1m and DD was 2y8m. They loved it and still talk about it 8 months later. However, I am looking forward to going back when they are older and we don't have to take the strollers and they can ride all the rides.

    2. We were in Orlando a week but only did the park for 4 days(with a park hopper). We went to the parks for 2 days, rested a day, park for 2 days, rested a day.

    3. I have only been to Disney World but I live on the eastern side of the country.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World? We went for a day this summer when our boys were 29 months and it was a disaster. Alex especially HATED it. I know people who have gone w/kids that age and they loved it, and my boys do like looking at the pics now and talking about meeting Buzz and Woody, etc. It really depends on the kid but I'd prefer to wait till they're at least 3-3.5. We wouldn't go back with our two until they're probably 5.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? 4-7 days

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

Disney World because it's WAY closer. ;) (8-hr drive versus-what? 3000 miles?) I've never been to Disneyland though so I really can't compare.

  • 1) depends on your kid(s), we're going with a 3 3/4 year old this weekend but I have friends who've gone with younger.

    2) we are just doing a long weekend so 4 nights (that's plenty for the little guy)

    3) Disneyland. it's closer and smaller so I feel like we'll get to see more even if we don't do the park every day.

  • 1. We went to Disney World for the first time this past November, DD was 4.5

    2. We arrived on a Tuesday and left the following Monday.  Our schedule was:

Tues-arrive and get settled, hang out at hotel pool, go shopping for snacks, etc

    Wed-Magic Kingdom

    Thurs-1/2 day at Sea World

    Fri-Downtown Disney, mini golf, etc

    Sat-Animal Kingdom

    Sun-1/2 day at Sea World

    Mon-Leave

    3. We've only ever been to Disney World

  • I will preface this by admitting that I am a Disney fan! Huge fan! I am very fortunate that I live less than an hour from Disneyland and practically lived there throughout highschool and college (my bestie and I had annual passes so we'd just hop over there after school for dinner and a few rides). Obviously now with the park being SO expensive and money put to better use our outings have been far less frequent! That being said we've already taken DD to Disneyland 4 times. Once at 3 months for the cute photo ops (we had free tickets), 10 months with MIL (she paid), 2nd birthday, and right before her 3rd birthday (friend works there and signed us in for free!)

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to visit Disneyland/Disney World? Had we had to pay we would have waited a while. I probably would have taken her right before she turned 3 so she was still free. Plus she'd be tall enough to ride most things including the Matterhorn!

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? If we went to Disneyworld, it would have to be at least 4 days to make it worth it to me. That place is HUGE!

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? I think this varies on your location. Obviously I did Disneyland first but if I were an East coaster I'd do Disneyworld. But, if I lived in the middle I'd probably do Disneyland first since it's the original place and small enough to not be overwhelming for a LO.

  • We went when oldest was 4 and youngest was 16 months.  That was fine, both could ride most things and both enjoyed it.  I imagine if they keep the military deal we will go again in a few years.  I don't really think there is a specific age to go, you can make it work at any age.  We went for a week, we did parks 4 days and beach two days.  DH prefers not to go to CA so disneyworld for us.  I think it's cheaper in FL to stay too.  The condo we rented was dirt cheap!

  • We were originally thinking when our youngest is 4. But my husbands grandparents just moved to Florida, so probably before next winter (whe he is 3). Eh, at least he will be in pictures for his memory ; ), so the kids would be 3, 4/5 and 6/7.

  • 1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World? Well, the first time we went, DD1 was only six months old, and for sure it was more for us than it was for her. We took her a year later at 18 months, and she loved it. We're considering going again this year, when DD2 will be 2/2.5. I think that is a good age to start, but then again, the older they are, the more they can do.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? So far our trips have only been long weekends, and we only spent one day at WDW. If we were going for the purpose of going to several parks, I'd probably want to spend four or five days, including a day at the pool or beach.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? Disney World. One, because it's closer to us, and two, because it's supposed to be better.

    1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?

I'd probably bring him at 6 but I'd rather wait until he was 8-9. I went to Disney when I was 9 and I thought it was perfect. Totally exciting, I could go on all the rides without my parents (who didn't like rides at all), and I could go all day and not get tired or bored.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

Factoring in cost, probably not more than 3 days. Probably more like 2 factoring in DH's dislike of rides.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?

I would prefer Disney World but Disney Land will be our first stop since we have family in SoCal. I did both as a kid and Disney Land was fun when I was 9 but Disney World was awesome as a 13 year old.

  • 1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World? 9 mos... we've been twice, and DD was 10 mos the first time, almost 3 yrs the second. Both trips were awesome, and she thoroughly enjoyed both.

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)? I think 5 days, 4 nights is a perfect WDW trip length... our trips were both shorter. Hoping for a longer one in the next year or so.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World? World--it's way bigger than DIsneyland. We're on the east coast and have never really considered Disneyland.

we can't wait to go again and you can do disneyworld quite nicely for a family of 4 for under 5K--or even close to under 4K if you shop around for airfare and other bargains!!!

  • 1.  At what age would your YOUNGEST be before you opted to vist Disneyland/Disney World?

DD would have to be at least three, preferably four (DS would be 6/7)

    2.  How long would you stay (in terms of days)?

4-7 days...we'd want the visit to be worth it.

    3.  Which would you hit first -- Disneyland or Disney World?
