Numbness at section site

As of yesterday, all my steri strips have fallen off, but I noticed a significant level of skin numbness, mostly on my left side. It spans from on the site to about an inch above it. Is this normal? I don't have my 6w check until the 20th. Is this normal or has anyone else had this? Also, woke up to pre menstral backache this morning too, really didn't miss that the whole 9 mo!!!

    Yup, normal. My doctor told me after our last c section the nerves grow back at one millimeter a month, so it takes a while to regain feeling there. Congrats on your new arrival!

    Totally normal.  Also totally normal for there to always be a slight numbness in that area for years on.  DS1 is almost 4 and there are still numb spots on my scar from his C-section.

    Mine was never numb but was very itchy. I hear both are normal.
    After many years and tears our baby boy is finally here

    I had a c section with my son and it was almost 3 years ago and I don't have the same feeling in the area of the surgery as I did before giving birth.
