I was making BLT's for dinner and got burned. A huge pocket of grease popped and ended up getting me from mychin down to my cleavage where my shirt protected my chest. It doesn't look too bad but it still burns like a mutha f-er. I've been sitting here with a cool towel on my neck and chest. We don't have any burn cream in the house and I'm not really sure what to put on it. Google is no help, everything contradicts itself.
What do you put on burns? I need some relief, please help.

Re: Bacon grease burn
Just be careful not to put anything with petrolatum jelly on it. Ask me how I know this.

ouch!
I burned myself with grease a few months ago on the inside of my lower arm. I waited too long to run cold water over it & it really hurt for several hrs after. I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but I put some ointment on it & bandaged it. What sucked was that from picking up/putting down DS, it kept getting a lot of friction on it & didn't heal well & it scarred.
I got mixed advice too on how to care for it.
We usually do the run it under cold water thing, then an ice pack, then ointment if it's bad. I'm so sorry you got burned.
Ona side note, bacon sounds really, really good.
I'm so sorry, burns are the WORST!! I'm always skittish around the stove when I've got something frying and it's popping.
I've found that goldbond cream works really well on burns. I hope you get some relief soon!
