I totally got FB defriended!

And here's the kicker --- I don't know by whom! Ha! Yesterday, the "Friends" number was 267 and today it's 266.

Which is worse? Getting defriended or being defriended but obviously not really being friends because you have no idea who it could be?

That's usually the only way I know I've been defriended. And then I sit there wondering who the heck it could have been...

Maybe someone quit FB.  I had two friends go FB-free in 2012 and delete their accounts.

Just go with that, mmkay?

I'm not upset for being defriended. On the contrary, but I think you might be right.

I just figured out that the defriending was from a woman I know who is a popular musician and changed her profile from an individual to a music group, thus one doesn't "friend" her, you just simply "like" her.

I don't keep track day-to-day. I just noticed it yesterday because my sister and I were having a discussion about friend counts and how ludicrous the concept seems.

I would be so screwed if I ever had to identify who defriended me. Most of the time* I have zero idea.

 

 

*I do have an idea when it comes on the tail of a crazyasshit argument about Texans and I get defriended and blocked by the perp.

This happens to me on a semi-regular basis...one day I'll be down a friend or two and a week later I'll be up by a couple.  It's usually a result of people deactivating their accounts and then re-opening them.

FB is really buggy and people's accounts go inactive sometimes - like within the same day.  I had a friend go missing and re-appear almost every day for a week.
