Loestrin 24 & PPD?

Anyone have any negative effects from the Birth Control Pill Loestrin 24?

I have been on this pill since April (6w PP) and have been short tempered and have irrational thoughts running through my head. I blow up at DH for the smallest things and then feel so bad I just want to run away. I feel (at times) that the only think keeping me around is DS.

My mom (a nurse) suggested that it may be my Birth Contol pill. My SIL was on the same pill following the birth of her son and she had similar thoughts/feelings. I stopped taking the pill at the end of the last cycle. I have been off of it since Jan 1 (I know only 4 days). I was just wondering if anyone else had similar issues while on this pill. I have an apt with my primary care physician on Jan 16 (soonest apt) and I will discuss this at that time.

    I was like that on different BCP and mentioned it to my OB. He actually put me on LoEstrin to avoid some of those side-effects. That said, I think any BCP can make you feel that way...so I would see how you feel being off them. And definitely talk to your doc about it :) GL to you!
