As much as I think blw is supposed to be "less stressful" I find that I will be worrying all the time about modifying everything I cook to be "safe". I eat pretty good foods overall but often my meals contain some salt or cheese. I guess I just have to get used to not using them, right?

Re: has blw changed YOUR diet?
We still eat those things, we just don't give them to her. So if I make lasagna and roasted broccoli, she just gets the broccoli. I made steak the other night and just threw the smallest one on the grill without any salt on it. We had tacos on Sunday so I just gave her some plain chicken and avocado.
It still seems like less work to me than boiling, pureeing, and spoon feeding baby food
I've also got a few things that are really hers that I've made and will keep on hand for her. I made a big batch of pumpkin pancakes the other day with whole wheat flour, no salt, and applesauce instead of sugar. They taste SO bland to me, but she loves them. I put a bunch in the freezer and can pull them out when we are having a meal she can't have.
that's a great idea!
I was just thinking of this exact question the other day. We are still doing purees but are still considering BLW and I was thinking my eating would get much better if we go through with it.
And the pancakes sound yummy! How much of each ingredient do you put in?
this is the recipe I used:

I just omitted the salt and used applesauce in place of the sugar. I also used white whole wheat flour, I think it's a little less rough tasting than the regular whole wheat.
she seemed to like them!
Thank you! Sounds so yummy!
I have wondered this too. We just started purees last week, so not sure abotu the future plans for BLW.
I am on my own with DS for dinner 3 or 4 days a week on average though. Tonight I made myself leftovers at 8:45pm. Maybe we can do it part-time?
