Anyone else hate purees?

So I posted last week that DD decided she liked our food better.  We've been trying to do purees and BLW together, offering a little of each.  DD screams and wants no parts of purees, but will chomp and gobble down finger foods (right now sweet potatoes).  She was so happy when I gave her some sweet potato today to eat.  I wish she like purees because her chomping on a hunk of sweet potato scares the crap out of me.

I did but she's not as happy with the mesh feeder as doing it herself.  I need to just relax a bit.

  • have you done much research on BLW? It sounded crazy and dangerous to me at first, but the research helped me relax about it. The chances of them choking actually really aren't any higher than they are while eating purees if you do it correctly (make sure they're sitting up, don't feed it to her)

Yeah I have the BLW book on my Nook and read a lot of it.  I usually hand her the food then she goes from there.  If she drops it I put it on her tray and she picks it up.  We're kinda in a weird place right now because she has a stuffy nose and the post nasal drip is making her gag and throw up more often, making me more nervous.  But, she's much happier and loves eating on her own.  I think I suddenly have a very independent lady on my hands.
