We went to our MFM to have a 16 week growth scan done on our mono/di twins on Wednesday. The tech did about an hour worth of scans and pictures and then told us if we wanted to know what they thought the babies were the doctor would come in and tell us. When the doctor came in, he went over everything (said it all looked great) and told us that based on one pic of one baby he is 95% sure they are boys. The tech couldn't get any pictures of the second baby's 'area' because the babies were moving all over the place! He did tell us not to go out and buy all blue, or do any painting but that he was pretty sure they would show up clearer as boys at our 18 week and 20 week scans. I just wondered if anyone else had been told they were having boys earlier then 20 weeks, only later to find out they were told wrong? It doesn't make any real difference to us, we are happy either way I am just curious. Thanks!
Re: Early Gender Reveal Question
We are team green (and were both times in the past), but they told us yesterday at 14w2d that they might be able to know already, especially if they are boys. I was surprised they would be able to tell so early.
I mentioned this to my friend and she found out at 16 weeks that she was having a boy.
Oh my gosh this made me laugh because I'm going to fall off the table if we are in fact having two girls instead of two boys. We told everyone they are boys!
Thanks for all the info ladies!
