Preemies before vs. after their due dates

I took my daughter home from the NICU at 36w3d, she is now 5 days adjusted age.  When we first took her home all she did was eat every 3-4 hours and sleep the rest of the time.  Today, she no longer wants to sleep in her crib during the day (and only for part of the time at night), instead she wants to either be held or be rocked in her chair next to me or her daddy and boy does she have some strong lungs now!!!!  It is so amazing how much babies change from week to week!

Very true, just wait... I remember how the nurses raved about how sweet my boys were in the NICU.  They rarely ever cried or fussed and just snuggled with each other.  Within 1-2 weeks of being home, I was wondering what happened to my sweet quiet little babies!

The nurses said the same thing about Emmeline.  She had them fooled!    She came home at 36w and was still the quiet, sweet baby.  It wasn't until around herdue date that she decided to show us her feisty personality!

we are going through this now too! our LO is 6wks 6days (1wk 5days adjusted) and there is just no knowing with her.. she did great up until this week really.. a bit fussy and having tummy troubles and waking up every 3 hrs to sleep.  but now she is waking up and either not eating enough and staying away and getting hungry again and crying or crying out in pain from gas or her new thing is that she will stay sleeping but only if she is on me or next time close enough that I am touching her... my husband she could care less about (maybe it is because he doesnt snuggle her like I do? she really only wants me... BUT she will sleep in her bed more for him.  It is like she knows Im here and wants me! UG!
