Contractions on my birthday!?!

Seriously LO? You wait until my birthday (xmas) to start triggering real contractions that wake me up in tears and scare the mes sout of your dad??? I was hoping you might come a bit early but I didn't plan on sharing my birthday with Jesus and you. :(  Your grandma is thinking this is hilarious since I have ALWAYS given her a hard time for having me on a global holiday. grrrrrrrrrr

Ladies, I have menstrual like cramping, tightening of belly and then the cramps spike severely. They are still pretty random but definately not like any of the cramping I've had for the past few weeks. My lower back is hurting as well. I dont know if I'm being a wussy or these are just that much stronger. SO confused! 

I'm waiting for my water to break or for these to get closer but the thought of delivering so soon has me scared. I'm a FTM and no matter what people tell you its like it is still scarey to me. I want to meet LO but L&D and all the unknowns terrify me. Help! I'm suppose to be a Jan mom, not december!!! EDD 1/27/12.

  • First, happy birthday.

    Second, try to relax and give it some time. If the contractions are random it may not be anything to worry about. If the get more timetable then you can start to time them and go from there, if it gets to that point.

     Good luck either way!

    Drink some water and try to relax.  I had some scary contractions awhile back, and they were even 20 min apart on the dot.  But then, they just faded. It took about three hours.  Just remember, your water might not break, even if you are in labor, but the odds of you delivering this early are slim.  If it makes you feel better, go get checked out.  But try to stay calm.  Water, and calm.

  • Happy birthday! I am having the same feelings like period cramps. I have been propping the feet up and drinking an entire bottle or two of water. Just relax and they go away. They def hurt though.
