I'd like to have a doula assist in labor. I've beening doing my own research but thought there may be some recommendations on here? If it matters, I'm in Glendale/Phoenix border. Thanks!
I was very impressed with Dianne Hamre, who was a doula in Washington state before moving to Arizona. I was about to hire her for my birth, but she had a high school reunion out of town during the week of my birth! I believe she lives on the west valley too. She offers a discount to military & low-income families as well.
Another good resource may be Midwives Rising, located in Central Phoenix (near downtown). They have a lot of different services related to pregnancy & birth, and could give you some excellent recommendations.
