*Cute lunch check-in*

Thank goodness for cookie cutters, because my newborn seems to need my attention just as I start making lunch. I had wanted to do a 12 days of Christmas bento series counting down to Christmas (I saw the idea on anotherlunch.com - hers are amazing!) but I guess that's not going to happen. DD's appetite is pretty small these days and she only wants cheese sandwiches, so the lunches are all pretty homogenous. Next week, I WILL do better. Enough disclaimers, here's the pictures! PIP yours!

The best of the week. Gingerbread cookie on an open-faced cheese sandwich, tomatoes on picks, peanut butter/celery sticks with sprinkles (she loved these and requested them several times this week), raisin doorway and dried apricot for the chimney.

This was more of a snack than a meal. Reindeer cheese is on top of a puzzle-shaped sandwich with "spare Rudolph nose" tomatoes, celery slices that were supposed to be a tree and wreath, and applesauce with sprinkles. DD loves the puzzle sandwiches because they really do fit together.

Same ingredients, different theme. Snowflake sandwich, tomatoes on picks, raisins, clementines and peanut butter/celery. This was served in a new Tupperware sandwich case we received as a gift. It's a great size for a bento box, seals well and my DD could open in by herself - something to think about when she'll be eating her lunch in kindergarten in 8 short months!

This is where things start to get ugly ... Another puzzle sandwich, leftover chicken noodle soup (untouched), a clementine (peeled but uneaten) and dehydrated strawberries in a cute new container.

These next two lunches are so bad I almost didn't post them, but I wanted to show you that even with the minimal effort I put in (it was actually a large effort, given that I did it with a crying newborn in my arms!), my DD liked them and ate more of them than she did some of the cuter lunches. In a silicone muffin container is half a granola bar (I ate the other half - mom was hungry!), dehydrated strawberries, the ubiquitous cheese sandwich, cherry tomatoes in a tree container, blackberries and a mini apple.

DD requested this container again. Gingerbread cookie, half a cheese sandwich, supremes of grapefruit (DD saw this is in the grocery store and wanted to try it, and she ate quite a few even though they were extremely tart),  cherry tomatoes, peanut butter/celery and yogurt. Next week, more variety! I didn't realize how much repetition there was this week until I see the pictures all together.

PIP your cute lunches here!
