Hi ladies. So we are flying out to Costa Rica on Wednesday, and our pediatrician recommended that for the flight we bring something that she knows and loves, and then also a brand new toy to keep her busy. Does anybody have any recs for something small and fun for a 14-month-old on a plane? Or alternatively, do you think we don't need a new toy for the plane? TIA for any advice or recs.

Re: Recs for toy on plane?
Is Benadryl a toy? No? Oh.
At that age, I thought toys on the plane were pretty hit or miss. My kids usually preferred to play with neat stuff they found on the plane - the Sky Mall magazine or cups with ice and straws, etc. I pretty much stopped bringing toys at all because they took up a bunch of space and usually ended up getting thrown under the seats or totally ignored. Maybe one of those small magna doodles? If she watches any TV, I think the best thing to bring is a DVD player and her favorite DVDs.

The stuff that was most used on our flight:
- iphone (I have tons of toddler-friendly apps & some you tube vids)
- magna doodle
- color wonder paper/markers
- a couple new books
All the other stuff I brought was worthless and ended up being crap I had to carry.
