Hi ladies! I'm starting to register for everything, but I'm officially lost and it's been 15 minutes.
What are your favorite glass bottles? Milk storage? (We're EBF).
If money was no option, what pump would you pick?
Would you get the gel pads for your breasts that you put in the fridge for relief?
As you can see, I started in the breastfeeding section! LOL!
So, what else do I need (not limited to the bf topic). We're CDing, so I've got that covered. We're EBF, and we're making her bedding. I got the My Breastfriend pillow and a nursing cover on the registry. I plan on using a woven wrap for babywearing (though I haven't decided what to try yet). And I know I'm registering for a Nosefrieda.
That's about all I've got. All my years taking care of kids, and I'm completely overwhelmed! There's so much stuff out there, and I don't want a bunch of unnecessary junk.
HELP ME PLEASE!!
Re: Help me register EFF style!
Big E (6) & Little E (2.5)
Breastpump- Medela Freestyle all the way! You can use it hands free and walk around the house and get a few things done while you are pumping. Other pumps force you to sit near an outlet.
Bottles- I am still BF'ing my DD now, but when she was born premature, she was not able to stay latched. I used the newborn bottles that were given to me in the hospital when I requested a pump. After she grew a bit, I tried a bunch of different bottles, but DD ending up really liking the Born Free bottles (I bought mostly glass). They were pretty easy to clean and had 5 parts to each bottle, but were not super complicated to assemble (even my DH figured it out, LOL).
Breastmilk storage- I used Lanisnoh (sp) bags. There were considerably cheaper than the Medela ones. I did have a few that broke when I was thawing them, but for the most part I was pleased with them and will use them again with this LO.
I love the cheap evenflow glass bottles. I don't recommend them until baby is older as the flow is pretty fast and could interfere with breastfeeding. But at 6 for $12 the price can't be beat.
Don't forget wetbags for cloth diapering.
My lactation consultant told me the gel pads can cause infection and was absolutely opposed to them.
Keep in mind the season of babywearing. I love my Moby wrap but will try to find something cooler as Baby #2 will come in August.
