Can I have you msg. your electrician friend (again)? We had PEC come out and they said everything was normal on their end. So, we hired an electrician who came and said that the voltage coming out of our outlet is 126v (instead of 120v). So, all of our bulbs (made for 120) are blowing.

He basically said it *is* PEC's doing, that they ramp up the voltage to account for increased usage and that our only options are to 1) buy bulbs for 130-150v (at a specialty shop), 2) put all electronics on surge protectors and 3) get over it. He specifically said that PEC isn't going to lower the voltage that they're sending out.

Can you just ask your friend if this sounds right or if we should a) hire someone else to come have a look or b)call PEC and tell them that they breaking all of our bulbs and electronics and beg them to turn it the eff down?
