Bahahaha. I'm such a bad elf momma mine hasn't moved once.
Actually I take that back he fell from the mantle when C decided she wanted her stocking. And no offense but what's with posting a picture of the elf every day on FB???
I saw this last night. Too funny. I am horrible at remembering to move our elf. As a matter of fact we didn't move him last night. And we are quickly running out of places to put him.

That's hilarious! I think the line needs to be drawn when it becomes more of a mess for you to clean up, like the marshmallow fight-no way!
We don't have an elf this year...but I want one. Jules would have no clue what the heck it's about, lol. If anyone sees one marked down after Christmas, let me know please
Oh but I do think that some of JenJar's elf pics are really cute, but I can only think of two she's put up, not like they're being posted everyday.

I know some people don't like it, but we love our elf here. He works WONDERS! Probably better than the whole 'Santa's watching' thing. If I need him to do something quickly, I'll say something like, 'can you please clean up the toy room so we can get ready for bed? Spike's going to watch to see how quickly you can do it?' It's the first thing he says when he wakes up each morning...'I wonder where Spike is this morning!' And I love seeing the pics on FB; it gives me new ideas of what to do with ours.

I was thinking that it might be very useful next year Did you guys watch the tv special? I thought it was cute too.
This is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time:) Thanks for the laugh.
TTC since 6/2003. m/c 9/14/03 8 weeks, 5 chemical pregnancies, mmc 6/04 12 weeks, Michael born sleeping 5/25/05 at 22weeks always our angel, fought ovarian cancer and won, m/c 4/06 5.2 weeks and 7/07 6.6 weeks,Our Miracle baby girl born 4/8/10,mc 12/18/11 at 5.3 weeks, BFP 10/26/12 dating u/s on 11/8/12 showing a strong heartbeat!EDD July 4,2013. Elf on a shelf is the new "Sophie the Giraffe"... an overpriced-hyped up hunk of plastic. I P.P.H all things Xmas but not the elf on a shelf.
How dare you compare the elf to sophie!
And I think my SIL bought us Elf on the Shelf now that I'm thinking about it...since we are doing a "books only" Christmas with family. So maybe I'll be getting throat punched next year
FWIW, I have that list 'pinned' and yes...95% of the ideas are outrageous. I think I got 4 ideas for our elf from that list of 101.
Oh J! I definitely don't think you're "the" mom she's talking about- it's cute if G loves it and I don't think you take it too far. But girl- I better not see pics on fb of feathers everywhere from your "elf pillow fight"

and I P.P.H. you. Its totally true..Why do you need to buy the $30 elf? Why not any old stuffed animal or a little people person or something?
Elf on a Shelf is not for me.
You could absolutely use anything! I like that the book came with the elf, and it has our elf's name inscribed in it with the date that he first visited our house, etc. But I refused to pay $30...I got it on sale and with free shipping, so I think I paid $18 last year.

I'm coming in late. I have that idea blog pinned on pnterst. I like our elf. HIs name is Chip and sophia's godmother sent it to us. I really like the book. Dh has been the one to move him but then again we only have had him for 3 days.
I really did laugh out loud reading it. I just enjoy sarcasm
