IUI #4 = negative :(

I had my beta for IUI #4 today and just got the call that it didn't work. I'm not surprised, but boy does it suck to get that call.

For next cycle, my RE wants me to do a Clomid Challenge test, along with an IUI. I loathe the thought of going back on Clomid, but my RE requires his patients to have a Clomid Challenge Test before starting IVF, so at least I am checking something off the list if it comes to IVF.

I'm OK with this plan, except that we are out of town on the 24th-27th. Since one of the blood tests has to be on CD 10, AF HAS to start Wednesday or before or else we have to sit this month out. 

Anyway, that's my update. Any positive vibes for AF starting tomorrow or Wednesday would be appreciated! 

I hope to see some Christmas BFP's in the next few weeks!

    I'm so sorry.  But at least you have a plan (even if slightly delayed thanks to AF) for going forward....
    me - 41 (dx: DOR); DH - 53 (no problems); 7/18/09 - married!; 8/4/09 - BFP on first (real)try; 9/14/09 - missed m/c; 9/15/09 - d&c; 11/09 - 3/10 - 4 natural cycles = BFN; 4/10 - dx hyperthyroidism caused by Graves' disease; 6/10 - thyroidectomy; 7/10 - 12/10 - 1 natural and 5 medicated IUI cycles = BFN; 1/11 - new RE; dx low ovarian reserve (AMH .42; 1/26/11 -- BFP (ectopic) from IUI #6; methotrexate 2/10/11; 6/2/11 - IVF #1 = BFN; 9/12/11 - prescreening for DE; 9/15/11 - IUI #7 (unmedicated)= BFN; 11/8 - begin DE cycle (shared risk program); 12/5 - ER (5 eggs/4 mature/3 fertilized/2 left by day 5) 12/10 - ET of one 1BB blast (expanded, "fair" quality), none to freeze; 12/22 - totally shocked by +hpt; beta #1 = 413; #2 = 3952 2/14 - CVS reveals a healthy baby girl! EDD: 8/27/12 DD born 8/31/12, 10 lbs 10 oz and perfect in every way.

    Sorry about the BFN but glad you do have a plan. That always seems to put a positive spin on things for me. Hang in there.

    TTC #1 since 2/10 Me 38 FSH 12.9 & AMH 0.16 DH 47, low sperm count due to meds. 07/11 We have sperm! 28 million, 70% motility, morphology 1% normal. 08/14/11 1st IUI unmedicated BFN. 09/11/11 2nd IUI w/ Femara + trigger BFN 10/14/11 trigger & Final IUI 10/16/11 BFN 10/21/11 Started acupuncture and loving it! 01/21 ET one embryo 6 cell grade C. Beta 02/02. BFN. Taking a much needed break. image

    I'm so sorry.

    As for the clomid challenge, ugh..  Do you know if your RE will cycle you if you fail it? Some RE's don't want patients that are going to mess up their stats so they make you take the CCCT and boot you if you fail...

    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE

    I'm so sorry about the BFN.  

    Good luck with the Clomid challenge and the timing issues -- I hope you can get it done this month.  (I hate Clomid, too, incidentally.  Makes me a moody crazywoman.)

    Really sorry that this IUI didn't work. No matter how much you may already believe you know, when the official call comes there is no stopping the pain. <hugs>

    Praying AF comes quick and you can move on to next step. GL.

    I'm sorry. You're right, that call is the worst.

    Hope the Clomid Challenge goes ok. And hope AF shows up soon.

    We do need some Christmas BFPs! Santa, are you listening?? We all have one thing on our list.

    Me = 38, Husband = 31. TTC since 1/10. M/C at 8 wks 5/10. Started trying again 9/10. All tests normal: AMH/MIS, FSH, HSG, SA. Estradoil high. 6/20/11 - Clomid+Ovidrel+IUI#1=BFN. 7/17/11 - Clomid+IUI#2=BFN. 2 natural cycles = BFN. 10/6/11 - Clomid+Ovidrel+IUI#3=BFN. 10/31/11 - Clomid+Ovidrel+IUI#4 = BFN. 11/26/11 - Follistim+Ovidrel+IUI#5 = BFN. IVF#1 - Menopur+Follistim. 2 ET 5/11/12 = BFN.

    I have heard this too, so it is definitely on my list of questions. They also have a shared risk IVF program that they administer in-house, so they may use the CCCT results to determine eligibility for that.

    After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
    IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
    No heartbeat at 10w6d
    FET August 27,2012 = BFP!

    I'm so sorry about the BFN.  I really hope AF shows up when you want her to and that you do well on the clomid challenge.

    TTC since 3/2010. Me 41, DH-49. After 3 years, 6 IUIs and several IVFs we have finally have our beautiful baby girl, born on 11/7/13.

    I hope you get AF soon.

    I'm also curious about why do the CCT so late in the game. I had to do this first and and failed it. Not an optimistic way to start off fertility treatments.

    Sorry that IUI #4 ended in a BFN for you.  I hope that AF comes quickly, so that you will be able to do you Clomid challenge with the next cycle.  I have never taken Clomid, but find myself curious about Clomid recently.  How do they decide if you pass or fail the Clomid Challenge test?  Hope that you pass and get to move on to your IVF cycle soon.  Who knows-maybe you'll have a lucky cycle and get you BFP!
    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Married 4/12/08 DS born 11/17/2009 via c-section at 39 weeks. 11/12/2011 BFP #2!! m/c 7w5d. 2/28/2012 BFP #3 Beta #1-12dpo = 18; Beta #2-16dpo = 185; Beta #3-18dpo = 505. EDD 11/10/2012. Ectopic discovered at 5w4d. D&C followed by methotrexate.
