Yes - we have been to parties at Pump It Up and thrown a party at Monkey Joe's. Pump It Up is nice because you go through the jump rooms with your particular party so not a lot of unkown kids, etc. running around. The only part is that once the party is over, it is over. At Monkey Joe's once the party is over (since everyone is jumping in a gigantic room with multiple bounce houses), you can move your things to the open area and let the kids continue to jump, etc. for however long you want. However, there are a bazillion kids running around.
Fantastic! STBXH says DD is too young for Pump It Up. I disagree. I was just at a 2 year old birthday party at the one in Glenview back in May and while DD was cranky that day, it seemed like a fun place for 2 year olds. We were considering Monkey Joes as well but it was significantly more money. Thanks for the input!
I think at 2 years of age that Pump It Up is definitely best. They might be a little unsure at first, especially if other kids are around. We went to our first party at one when DD was about 3. The adults sometimes have to help because depending on how big your LO is, they may need help climbing or getting over the humps, etc. DD is a peanut (27 1/2 lbs at 4!) and needed a boost here or there at that age.

DD has had a BLAST at both!
I had my daughter's 5th bday at Pump it Up and she loved it. I liked the fact that it was closed to the general public so you didn't have to worry about keeping your eye on all the kids. I went to a similar place in St. Charles and it was chaos. Monkey Joe's is fun too.
I worked at Pump It Up when I was younger and they are AWSOME. All you as the parent has to do is show up with your cake and snacks and your done they party planner does the rest.
