Sharing the gender - timing

With Dylan, we were team green.  That was 90% because of me.  DH wanted to know but went along with not finding out since we knew everything would be gender neutral anyway.  This time, I told DH we'd do it his way so we're finding out.  I also told him since this is 90% him this time, that means he also had to decide when we'd share the news.

Well, last night he finally said "I want #2 to be a New Years Baby!"  So, we finally decided we'll share the news with friends & family at our annual New Years Eve Party!  I'm actually kind of excited ^_^.  I read one TB yesterday an idea of getting a helium balloon ("It's a Girl/Boy") & putting it in a big box & wrapping it.  I thought that'd be really neat to do & have both sets of g-parents open it at midnight!

We find out tomorrow afternoon what we're having so it'll be hard to keep it a secret for 3 weeks but we'll make it!

How exciting!! We didn't share the gender in a special way. I had grandparents-to-be on email as soon as my appointment was over going "Well????" I love the balloon idea - that would be really cute.

That's a really cute idea!  I was so impatient I called our families right away, we weren't even out of the Dr.'s office.  My SIL is PG and I think she is planning on doing the colored vanilla cake thing and having a family party.

That's a cute idea! I like the cake idea too. We were team green and we will be for #2 also, but if we weren't I wanted to do something cute like that.

Aww man another cute idea to find out the gender! We were gonna do the cake thing for Thanksgiving but then decided to wait a little longer. We've been holding on to this sealed envelope with the baby's sex for  2 1/2 weeks now...maybe we'll find out for Christmas...
