Hand me down clothes

Is anyone else getting a ton of these? H's cousin is always sending boxes of clothes, and my sister has 2 1/2 yr old twing girls, so I have all their clothes too. Sis just gave me a huge Kohls bag full of shoes. I love it, and have maybe only spent 30 dollars on clothes in 11 months. Anyone else get tons of hand me downs?

I am so veryy grateful, but sometimes I just want to go on a shopping spree and buy her all the cute clothes I can find. I'm sure there will come a day, and I should just appreciate it now I guess.  I feel bad buying them now, because it seems like a waste of money.

Totally happens to me too. My sister has a DD, so does my cousin, and I have a few friends with little girls that also hand me down things. Between that and the stuff I saved from my first DD I rarely need to buy anything.

I'm with you on the shopping spree thing too! There are so many cute girly little things I would love to buy, but I feel kind of guilty considering she has a lot of things she hasn't even worn yet.

Our close friends have a 2 year old daughter and gave us all of her clothes from 12 months down.  She's tall and skinny just like E too so right now she's in 12 months pants and 9 months tops, which is exactly what we have in hand me downs.  We also have a bunch of 12 month tops that she's starting to fit into.  Part of me is bummed that we're at the end of our hand me downs because we have to actually start buying them (although I did get $110 worth of cloths for $40 on Black Friday all in the next size up) but part of me is super excited because I can buy clothes for her that are more my style.

We are the first to have kids so we've had to buy everything. My sister gifts us things for A with the expectation that she will get the clothes back one day. Maybe you could do that? When you buy things for the twins, you're pretty much buying things for W two years in advance.

i have a few of dh's & my brother's old outfits but i feel like they're a bit outdated looking (they're also more special occasion outfits). but my sil gives us a bunch of my nephews clothes which is awesome but they were born during opposite seasons so we do find that a lot of his stuff doesnt fit when we need it. i just use special events as reasons to buy clothes

I've gotten only some hand me down clothes...but I'll tell you I love the hand me down toys! Most of them are still for sale right now and I got them for nuttin'! And some of them we bought for my DH's second cousin so they are fun ones too

We have been lucky. We get hand me down clothes and toys. It seems like every time we are about to go up a size and run out..someone out of the blue offers them up..!! Love it!

I'd love to have a hand me down clothes problem, however we're not so lucky.

We got hand me down clothes from my friend when Cooper was a NB.  But he wears a totally different size then his son did at this age....so no more for us.

Great Grandma and Grandma are pretty much obessesed with buying Cooper clothes...I don't mind.

We got tons for her first year, but it slowed down quite a bit.  I am actually kinda bummed about it, I am jonesing for a box of hand-me-downs!

I get alot of hand me downs from my sister.  Clothes, shoes, toys, etc.  Her LO is 9 mo older than my LO.  I have a dresser full of clothes!  I still buy some pieces, it's hard for me to resist a good deal. 

My SIL asked me today if I like getting HMD, I don't like it...I LOVE it!  I know anything I buy for my niece we'll get back at some point.

Thats so funny because I thought that the other day when I was shopping for my sisters kids.

We haven't gotten any. We are the first with kids on my side and SIL has two boys that are each a 18 mo older and 6 mo younger than DS. So she was using them all again while DS could have worn them. I don't mind because I'm a clothes nut and love to buy new clothes. It's redic.
