I work at one of these companies and I would say I have the worst work-life balance I've ever had. There are good health benefits but my hours are extremely long and I can never turn work off.
I'm amazed at the number of consulting companies on that list and I am going to call bullsh*t, and tell you that they played with the statistics.
My husband works for a large consulting company (not on that list), and I have many friends that work for the ones listed. Maybe things are better for the women in internal, non-consulting or client facing positions, but if you are a consultant, accountant, etc.., there IS NO WORK-LIFE BALANCE. There is a reason why there are few women partners at these firms. It's the nature of the dang job.

I have been on both sides of the fence - started in consulting, then moved internal for better work-life balance. It is definitely not any better.
I wonder how much they paid to be on that list. A very good friend works at one of those companies and she is seriously struggling with work-life right now.

DH and I work for a consulting company and there's absolutely no work-life balance; hasn't been for the 15 years he's been here. I call bullsh*t too.
I call BS as well. I work for a company on the list and the only benefit they have that I can see that helps them get on this list is a on-site daycare but other than that I am amazed they are on there!
