Best infant carriers?

With DD#1 we didnt use our Bjorn or hotsling all that much, but now with 2 girls I def need a carrier for DD#2  I gave our Bjorn away b/c I never really liked it and my newborn doesnt seem comfortable in the sling yet. Ive heard the ergo carrier is good - anyone use that and how does it compare to the Bjorn?

  • I read this girls blog and she raves about her Moby Wrap and her BabyHawk.

I never used a carrier with DS either but know I'll need one with #2.

  • I have an Ergo but I didn't get it until DD was about 9 months old so I have no experience with using it with an infant. I LOVE it but it doesn't seem secure enough for a little baby although I do believe there is a newborn insert for it.

  • I would keep trying the sling.  Kate and I took a while to master the Hotsling, but once I did she LOVED being in there.  She was crunched up tight and would nap in there, hang out while I vacuumed, etc.

We also had a Bjorn (only liked it for a little while, then she was too heavy) and an Ergo.  I loved the Ergo, but you'll need the newborn insert for a tiny one.  I started using it when Kate was 7 months old.

A lot of people love wraps, and I might get one for this baby since they seem more secure than the sling, but they look pretty complicated to me!
