I'm in a rut as far as the whole "toddler breakfast" thing goes. I usually end up throwing something in the toaster oven while still half-asleep and before my first cup of coffee, so it needs to be easy. We usually do cinnamon toast waffles, baby pancakes (I make them and freeze them), waffles with cream cheese or peanut butter on them, cereal, or oatmeal. She's sick of them all, and so am I. Any more quick/easy suggestions??
Re: Need some breakfast ideas!
I know you mentioned waffles, but my son LOVES the pumpkin waffles so it's a little different. Trader Joes has a great mix and it's actually kind of nutritous. If you want to be indulgent, sometimes I put cinnamon whip cream on top.
My son also loves fresh fruit and yogurt. That's super easy but can get pricey.
Geneva eats fresh fruit, breakfast bars, oatmeal, cereal (I buy huge variety packs so she can pick her own), and yogurt.
Waffles, pancakes and eggs tend to be a weekend-only treat.

My trick with DD is ketchup on her scrambed eggs. I know it sound weird but I only eat eggs with ketchup (hmm I wonder where she got it from). LOL
My problem is how to get her to eat toast or ANY type of bread. She refuses even with Nutella, which she loves. She eats the Nutella off the bread and leaves the bread on the plate.
I make this and freeze it individual pieces. So yummy and great as gifts too:)
Blueberry Pound Cake--Paula Deen
2 cups (4 sticks) butter, softened ( I did it with the I can't believe it's not butter sticks)
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
4 cups all purposed flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a (10 inch) tube pan.
In a lg mixing bowl, beat butter at a medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time beating well after each addition.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed, blending well after each addition. Stir in Vanilla.
Fold in blueberries and pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 30-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Shield top of cake loosely with foil halfway through cooking to prevent excess browning. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
Please note: if you choose to prepare your blueberry pound cake in greased and floured bundt pan pour batter into pan until 2/3 full. The remaining batter can be baked in a greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan/
