Crazy DH rant

I'm sitting on the couch, half watching tv with computer on my lap.

DH walks in: No No no, you really shouldn't do that.

Me: ?!?!?! what the f are you talking about?

DH: the heat, the wi-fi, cant be good for you...

Me: it's a laptop!!!! LAP- TOP!!! It's not even touching my damn uterus!!

    Reading this made me giggle because I freak out about this every now and then.  The other day I made my husband start using a lap desk because I didn't want him to bake his stuff.  He looked at me like I was positively crazy but did it anyway.  As I type this though my computer is on my lap.  Embarrassed Does it matter really?

    HAHAHA!!!! Men are funny!

    Even if it was, aren't heating pads ok?  I mean, I use them during every AF and during my M/C (I guess I don't know if you can use them after a D&E).

    TTC since June 2009 DX: PCOS October 2010
    6 medicated cycles, 2 pregnancies, 1 ectopic April 2011, Early Miscarriage August 2011
    7 more cycles, 1 IUI, No success after last pregnancy
    7/1/2012 No more fertility coverage
    8/17/2012 started pursuing domestic infant adoption!
    11/26/2012 HOME STUDY APPROVED!!!

    OMG... That is just too cute!  I cant feel the love even though he has no idea.  haha  Made me giggle too! 

    I dont think it is any worse than a heated blanket or heating pad. Right?

    i left out the part where I told him HE's the one who shouldn't put it on his lap - but that kind of makes me sound like a hypocritical crazy person too... so we'll pretend I didn't just write that ;)

    You know, after my first miscarriage this was one of the things I was worried about. I had the stupid laptop on my lap (and much closer to my belly than legs because of the way I'd sit) all the time. I knew it didn't really cause anything but it was just one of those things that stuck with me and fed the self blame game. I have since gotten over the self-blame but I still won't put it on my lap when pregnant just because it reminds me of it.

    I'm glad your DH is worried about you and trying to be protective. That is sweet.

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    Hehe, sounds like my hubby!  He was only crazy about that when I was pregnant though.  I usually have a lap desk on my lap with the computer on top.  At least you know he cares. :]
