2 years and had gotten to the point that we were trying but had decided not to go to specialist and just see what happened. We went on our anniversary trip, and had BFP at the end of the month. We had put it out of our mind, and wasn't stressing it, and I think that is what helped us.
We've been TTC for 2 years. We started seeing our fertility specialist earlier this year. After surgery for Endometriosis and some fertility meds/shots, we were finally successful!
I completely understand being at a point of losing faith - but hang in there! God has a plan, and will reveal it when the time comes.

7 months.....I also had issues with my LP. They were extremely too short, only 7-8 days but once I saw a doctor and the problem was fixed I got my BFP a couple months later!
I also suggest using Fertility Friend to track your cycle so you know when you actually ovulate...not everyone ovulates on CD 14....I ovulated anywhere from CD17-CD 45.

With this baby, we wanted to get pregnant when DS was about a year old, but I didn't have a cycle due to BF'ing. Once my cycle finally returned, it took 3 cycles to get pregnant.

#1 and #3 were surprises - I was charting to avoid with #1 and on the pill with #3. #2 was planned and was conceived the first cycle after I had my IUD removed (was charting to conceive).
Not trying and not preventing for 2 years the first time I conceived, but I miscarried. Again, not trying or preventing for almost a year and a half and I am pregnant. Although that includes 3 months of pelvic rest from the miscarriage. A study I read said that the average if you are actively trying is 2 years, after that if you haven't conceived you should see a fertility expert.
18 months - we were just meeting with the doctors and going through the various test to make sure there weren't any obvious issues before being recommended for IVF when we got the surprise BFP!
My husband and I tried for 2 months last fall before he was deployed to Iraq. We started trying again as soon as he got back, and it happened on the 3rd cycle. So 5 months in all.
I charted my cycles the whole time he was gone and after he got back, and even took an ovulation test just to make sure I was actually ovulating. I bought the cheap Target brand ovulation test and got pregnant the month I used it.
I finally decided I was ready to be a mom back in April. We started trying in May. I mean really, really trying. But by July - I was like wth?? So I decided to not try but not prevent. We went to visit family in last september and that's where we found out I was pregnant.
My tip - when you know you're ovulating, have sex every day, sometimes twice. When finished just lay there, no bathroom break for half hour. That's how it happened for us. Four days I couldn't keep my hands off my hubby.
Good luck!! Hope it happens soon!

Over a year. I had unexplained infertility-- all tests came back normal (I'm only 28!) with a regular cycle. We had five failed IUIs and were about to start IVF when my period didn't come. The cycle I got pregnant was the one cycle I didn't do high tech ovulation predictors and so forth, because my husband was out of town when I was supposed to be ovulating. Figures. So we never expected to have any trouble getting pregnant and were happy to be surprised when we thought it would involve more fertility treatments.
On our third try, so third cycle? We started in April and got a positive test in July. So April-May (1), May-June (2), June-July (3 - success). I think i've got that right haha. It seemed like it was taking forever. And I heard women say that they got it on the first try so I was pissed for a hot second. But then there it was. Everything comes at it's own time! My own advice, don't stress, we got pregnant during our vacation... clearly we were de-stressed and not worrying about a thing.
DH and I were ttc for 2 years... we ended up with a fertility specialist and got pregnant after our first month of Clomid & and IUI. (We did a few natural cycles with the IUI before the clomid that didn't work). Keep your chin up! It will happen!!

Same over here... but I also had been charting for about 6mos before. Got pg first cycle... now I'm pg with "surprise baby"... it'll come to you when you least expect it
I got pregnant on the first cycle. Honestly, I think it took me less time because I was on no birth control prior so I didn't have to wait as many cycles as some ladies. Don't give up hope. Everyone is different and there are lots of options these days if things don't naturally happen! Good luck!
i had just come off BC and was told my fibroids would make it difficult....pregnant first month trying. just goes to show that science and medicine only know so much....i was tracking temp and so forth but really credit it to sheer determined will and blessing
