We haven't found out the sex of the baby yet, but if it's a boy, we would like to name the baby after my grandfather who passed away many years ago. His name was Jerry so we want the baby's name to start with "J." We can't seem to come to any agreement about any J names. My husband isn't a fan of Jacob, Jayden, Julian, Jude, Jonah, Jonas, Jake, and Joshua. We already have a Jonathan and a Jason in the family so those names are out too. Any suggestions?
ETA: We also already have a James and a Jackson.
Re: J names for a boy
Jared, Jeffrey, James, Jameson, Jackson, Jagger, Jamie, Jarett, Jasper, Jeremiah, Jeremy, Johnathan, Joseph, Josef, Justin.
Good luck!
In my family, we've been honoring for generations by using the first letter, and the Hebrew name would be the same.
If we have a boy the middle name will be Douglas because that's my husband's father's name. He passed away when my husband was 2. My husband's middle name is also Douglas. My husband is not Jewish, and his family honors by using the actual name. Did I make that too confusing?

This tradition often is done by those of the Jewish faith. To honor the deceased, the newborn carries the first letter of their name.
