More questions about fostering...

So, I posted earlier this week about calling our local DHS foster caseworker. We've been playing phone tag a lot this week, but this morning, I finally talked with her, and we're going to meet next Wednesday morning.

I was a little worried about them considering my occupation some sort of conflict with their office (I am a public defender and represent a lot of people whose kids are in foster care), but it sounds like we just won't get any placements from public defender client families.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for questions to ask at the initial meeting-- I am definitely interested in knowing how long placements usually take, and how long they tend to last, whether younger kids are often available in my county... and that's pretty much all I am thinking of so far.

What else should I be thinking about asking in the initial meeting? Thanks in advance for any advice!
