Baby Names

So I named my daughter Isabella...

Fully expecting her to be Isabella D. for most of her life. She has been in 2 Pre schools, various classes, 3 different soccer teams & now she's in kindergarten. All of that & she's always been the ONLY Isabella. I got her updated class list (for her Thanksgiving party today) and she is still the only Isabella... But there are 2 boys in her class named Justice!! Really?! I had to laugh at that!

Re: So I named my daughter Isabella...

  • My name was relatively popular when I was born and I was always the only one in my class. You just never know. I bet Justice's parents thought they were being so original, too.

  • I only know of one Isabella and she's 8 years old.
  • All through grade school, junior high, and high school, I was the only Rachel in my class.  Then I went to college.  A small Christian university if that helps to know that the class sizes weren't that large.  In one of my classes my freshman year, there were 25 students...five us us were Rachel.

  • Wow, Justice!? I would never even consider that name.  Very weird to have two.

  • I grew up being the only Heather in my school. When I got to HS, there was a senior named Heather, but we only went there together for one year. Then I got my first job (in a different city), and I was one of 3 Heathers. lol I guess it just depends on the area.

I went to grade school & middle school with a guy named Justus, pronounced Justice.  I always thought it was an odd name.

    I know a Justice (g, 5) and a Justus (b, 5). lol

  • Yay! That's really exciting.

We're from a really small town. LO will probably be in a class of about 30 (like Class of 2029...not classroom). When DH and I agreed on his name (Riley) we couldn't find another Riley (girl or boy) for towns around. Last week another boy was born in town...what did they name him? Ryley. UGH!!!
