DS will be 11 months in a few days. He seems to be a little behind in most gross motor skills. He loves to stand when someone stands him up, but he can't quite pull himself up. He almost can, but he falls when he tries. And he doesn't cruise at all with furniture. He just stands. Is this pretty normal? DS1 was pulling himself up at 8 1/2 months. Also, I thought I remember reading on here about someone who's pedi was concerned that their 9 or 10 month old couldn't pull up yet.
Re: Anyone else have an 11 month old not pulling up or cruising?
DS is pulling up but not cruising.
DD didn't even start crawling until 11.5 months.
Almost 11 months here and not pulling to stand yet. He just started showing that he wants to, and when he is positioned on a little bench next to a table, he will pull himself up to stand, but not from the ground on his own yet. Yesterday he did try and with a tiny bit of help did it, but he doesn't crawl on all fours so I think it's a little harder for him to get in the right position to do this since he doesn't spend much time on his knees. I think if we can get him to all fours (he just army crawls) then he will be up pretty soon. He loves standing and playing and tries to move to other positions a little but we stay close by cause he will usually fall when he does try.
