So at 24 weeks I went to L&D for contractions. They were able to get them under control and sent me home on modified bedrest. Friday I went into L&D for Contractions again. They were every 3 min. They couldn't get them to stop so they admitted me. I was not dehydrated and they couldn't find anything that was causing them. I dilated to 1 cm by the am on Saturday. They then stopped to 1 an hour and they let me head home. They told me if there is any change contractions more then 4 an hour and other things like bleeding or noticing my water broke I need to head in. I have been keeping track and the last hour they have been 3.5 min apart. I am trying to control them with my water intake and resting on my left side but they seem to keep coming. Baby is fine no change in his movement. Just some advise of if you think I need to head back in.

Re: Pre-term Labor
I delivered my son at 27 weeks for undermined PTL that sounds very similar to yours.
Do they have you on meds?
3.5 minutes apart you need to go to the hospital ASAP.

It could be....but....they say 4 in an hour and if they are 2.5 minutes apart..You can do the math.
My advice is head to the hospital now. I did not take my PTL contractions as seriously as I should have. I ended up spending 10 days in the hospital 48 hours on magnesium and the rest on procardia. The day I delivered my son I was feeling perfectly fine, was doing my daily NST and praying that I could go home. The rule was that if I didn't have any contractions for 72 hours that I got to go home on strict bed rest. Well, out of now where my contractions started at every 3 minutes. That started at 10:15AM he came at 12:50pm quick fast and in a hurry.
If you are in real labor they may be able to stop it now but if your wait...well...it may be too late.
Oh, do they not have you on any meds?
