Do you know why they are chapped? Turned out my perpetual chapped lips were actually a symptom of a mango allergy! I now have the same reaction to cashews.

Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
Oh yes, I have the perfect thing. In dermatology we prescribe TONS of accutane which its main side effect is extremely dry cracked lips and it lasts for the 20 weeks they are on the medication. So we give all the kids this stuff called Dr. Dan's Cortibalm.
Its a lip balm that has a mild cortisone in it (safe in pregnancy) and its a miracle worker. Here is the link
I had this problem while on Accutane, the peeling was brutal. The only thing that worked for me was Eucerin creme. It comes in a small tub and is opaque, white and thick, different from an ointment or Vaseline. I would walk around (inside the house) with a big white mouth, and while out and about I had the jar with me at all times.
I use this stuff called Aquaphor. They either sell it near the lotion or vaaline...at Target it happens to be in the baby section. My dad used it after he had surgery on his hand to keep the skin on his hand from getting too try or chapped. I use it all the time for my chapped lips and it works awesome! I got some small tubes of it on drugstore.com so I can always carry one in my purse.

In my derm office, we usually recommend Aquaphor healing lip ointment. Feel better! It could also be a sign of dehydration...so lots of water!
